Tamborine Mountain Terms & Conditions

FARES & TOUR VALIDITY

Fares are valid from 1st April 2010 through to 31st March 2011 and quoted in Australian Dollars ($AUD) inclusive of Australian Government Goods and Services Tax of 10%. Fares are valid at time of publication but we reserve the right to alter fares in the case of unforeseen circumstances with notice.

MINIMUM NUMBERS / ITINERARIES

Our Taste of Tamborine Tours require a minimum of 4 - 6 passengers to operate, and in some cases where only 6 passengers are booked on tour an alternative may be offered or a smaller vehicle used. Tamborine Mountain Tours reserves the right to cancel or alter tour departures and itineraries as deemed necessary. It may be necessary to cancel a scheduled departure in which case an alternative tour or full refund for that tour would be offered. Tour operation, or alterations may occur due to road or weather conditions, strikes, public holidays and accommodation availability. The company gives no guarantee as to the exact arrival or departure times as circumstances beyond our control may influence this.

When booking tours, you are booking seats on tours which may have other passengers. Should you wish to book a tour bus strictly for sole use of your group (ie. no other passengers) you will be required to book and pay for all seats available for sale on that tour bus to guarantee your own driver and tour bus (ie. for the small trolley it has16 seats available for sale so you will be charged for 16 seats regardless of your group numbers).

The Aboriginal components of our Rainforest & Wangerriburra Group Tour are subject to Cultural conditions. Participants may be absent due to Cultural commitments with little prior notification and Tamborine Mountain Tours reserves the right to amend the itinerary in these circumstances and no refunds will be given.

INCLUSIONS

Some tours such as Taste of Tamborine Full Day and Tamborine Mountain Adventure Pass may include all sightseeing, entry fees and meals as stated in the full itinerary.

DEPARTURE POINTS

Pick up details will be advised at time of booking. Australian tours must be reconfirmed 48 hours prior to departure by calling 1300 826 267. Failure to do so may result in the cancellation of your booking.

Coastal pick ups and dropoffs are available on request at time of booking from Gold Coast Hotels, Apartments, Backpackers and private residential address for a fee as published.

DIESEL FUEL LEVY

Tamborine Mountain Tours rates have been calculated on the basis of a maximum diesel fuel price of AUD$2 per litre. Should the price of fuel rise beyond AUD$2 per litre, then Tamborine Mountain Tours, and its associated companies, reserve the right to charge a fuel levy at a rate of AUD$1 pp for every 10c per litre increase.

EXCLUSION OF LIABILITY

The responsibility of Tamborine Mountain Tours in connection with these tours is limited to the carriage of passengers and their luggage. The sale of other services described within these rates is made by Tamborine Mountain Tours as an agent and shall not be held liable for any accident, injury, delay, irregularity, loss or any damage caused by or resulting from provision of or failure to provide any such services. Tamborine Mountain Tours may on certain tours also work with other similar quality touring operations to provide its services on a code-share basis. These services will be provided to the same standard as advertised.

TRAVEL INSURANCE

Tamborine Mountain Tours recommends that travel insurance be taken to cover against cancellation fees, loss or damage to baggage and costs arising from illness or acts of god, e.g. cyclones, flooding, etc.

CANCELLATION POLICY

Due to the extensive organisation involved with touring, a strict cancellation fee will be applicable to compensate for costs and lost revenue. We strongly recommend you take out travel insurance to cover against such charges. Once a booking is made the following cancellation fees will apply:

If you choose to cancel within 48 hours - 7 days you will incurs a 25% loss of fare. Within 24 - 48 hours incurs a 50% loss of fare and within 24 hours a 100% loss of fare will be incurred.

If you fail to join a tour, or join it after departure, or leave it prior to its completion, no tour refund can be made. The above cancellation fees are in addition to fees which may be levied by accommodation house properties or third party tour and transport operator cancellation fees.

AMENDMENT FEES

Balances for tours must be paid one working week before the tour. Should the total number of passengers reduce after that time, please notify us immediately. Refund of fares can be made if notification is provide greater than 48 hours before the tour. If notification is provided within 48 hours of the tour, no refund of the cancelled fares is available as bookings with have been made with our tour partners.

Additionally, a charge of $25 per change may apply to any modification after the original booking has been confirmed.

DEPOSIT AND FINAL PAYMENT

A non-refundable deposit of 25% is due within 2 days of booking confirmation. Final payment is due at least 7 working day prior to tour departure.

STAR RATINGS
If used, star ratings are to be used as a guide only and are internal ratings made by Tamborine Mountain Tours.

CHILD FARES

Child fares are available on most tours for passengers aged between 4 and 16 years inclusive. Prices available on application.

CONCESSION FARES

Apply to holders of senior or pensioner cards (Australia & New Zealand), full time students and YHA/VIP/NOMAD members.

WHAT TO BRING

We suggest you include the following essential items: non-slip walking shoes (sneakers), sun screen, hat, beach towel, bathers, flashlight, camera and small bottle of water.
